- Lambs £192/head* mart average
An entry of 1300 sheep at Markethill on Monday 18th May returned a firmer trade for spring lambs and cull ewes. Good quality light spring lambs sold to a top of 952p/k for 19.9k at £189.50 for a Portadown producer. Another Portadown producer sold to 904p/k for 21.4k at £193.50 and a Ballygawley farmer sold 21.3k at £192 (902p/k). All good quality light spring lambs sold from 850-900p/k.
