Castlerea Mart held its annual show and sale of Continental heifers and Belgian Blue weanling show and sale. Over 550 lots were presented for sale and trade and prices were reflective of the quality on offer. In the heifer ring quality breeding type heifers made up to €3960 or €7.00 a kilo, while forward lots made up to €3680, these prices were reflective of the improvement in trade in recent weeks.
