- Heifers €4.48/kg* mean of bands
- Cull cows €4.84/kg* mean of bands
Big sale in Ennis today with 938 on offer. Stores up to 500 kgs in the heifer & bullock rings held the trade and slightly dearer in some cases, but stock over 550 kgs were a bit easier and back 5c/kg. In the cull cow ring store types were slightly easier, as fleshed cows were back about 10c/kg. There were 15 aged bulls on offer and these averaged €3.86/kg as a CH bull weighing 1,115 kgs made €4,200. Despite the pull in beef quotes this week there was a strong appetite for forward type cattle. Bullock sale will take place on Fridays from next week 12 th September.
