- Weanling heifers €6.44/kg* mean of bands
Big sale today with over 834 on offer. Bull weanling numbers very strong and a great trade especially from 320kgs upwards with strong farmer and bull beef buyer activity. Bulls dearer by 10-15c/kg today. Heifers generally dearer by 10-15c/kg also. A small entry of suckling stock met a cracking trade as pairs made to €4,440 and in-calf lots made to €4,000. Small entry of suck calves as a 6 week old LMX bull calf made €1,260. AAX calves between a month and 6 weeks old made from €480 to €660. Runner heifers and bulls mirrored the weanling trade.
