Smaller sale today with 448 heifers & cull cows available. We had 35 heifers eligible for the SCEP scheme through ICBF and these sold very well with 70% of these bought by farmers for breeding, as the balance were bought for fattening. These heifers reached a top price of €3,380. In the general sale heifers over 500kgs were up 10-15c/kg, with store heifers a similar trade to last week. Cull cows were a strong trade as better quality heavy cows were up 5c/kg. A dozen aged bulls averaged €3.64/kg as a Charolais bull weighing 1,085kgs made €4,230.
