- Weanling heifers €5.13/kg* mean of bands
Good size sale for the time of year with 320 on offer, this included 70 calves. There was a lot of strong calves over 2 months old and the top price in this section was €1,390 for a 6 week old LMX bull. AAX bull calves made to €680 and AAX heifers made to €600. HEX bull calves made to €570 and HEX heifers made to €490, with a few reared FR bull calves making €490. Bull & heifer weanlings held a similar trade to last week with exporters and a few farmers active. A very small entry of sucklers made to €4,100 for pairs, with in-calf lots making to €2,720.
