GOOD INTEREST IN STOCK AT KILMALLOCK MART. Good Silage making weather saw a smaller sale of 500 cattle and calves at Kilmallock Mart on Monday last. Calves of all ages are a mighty trade. Bullock prices were improved, with up to €1920 a head or €4.71 per kg paid for lighter lots. Heavier Bullocks sold for up to €2440 each or €3.56 per kg. Dry Cows hit €2640 each or €3.26 per kg. Heifers sold for up to €2230 each or €3.40 per kg for heavy lots, Lighter Heifers made up to €1760 each or €4.39 per kg. Up to €930 was paid for reared calves, young calves sold for up to €790.
