An entry of 160 dropped calves at Markethill on Tuesday 10th February sold in probably the best trade so far this year. Highlight of the sale was a 4 week old Shorthorn heifer calf from an Aghalee farmer which made £1000. Good quality Char heifer calves sold at £900, £870 and £810. Whitehead heifers to £760 and BB to £720. The top 10 heifer calves averaged £797 per head.
