An entry of 1120 sheep at Markethill on Monday 2nd March included 800 hoggets which sold in a noticeably firmer trade for all weights. Good quality heavy hoggets sold to 600-626p/k for 25.5k at £159.50 for a Newry farmer, followed by 623p/k for 24.5k at £152.50 from a Keady producer. Overweight hoggets sold up to £166, with several more pens from £159 to £165 each.
