Our opening weanling sale for 2026 was held today with a good entry on offer across all types. Bull weanlings opened on a very positive note with shippers extremely anxious for these buying 73% of the bulls on offer. Bull weanlings averaged €1940 per head. Heifer weanlings held the trade pre christmas. A small entry of suck calves met great demand with HEX bulls making to €720 while Hex heifers made to €690 but it must be said these calves were 5 weeks old and well fed. A small entry of sucklers on offer with in-calf lots making t €5,000.
