- Heifers €4.58/kg* mean of bands
- Cull cows €3.11/kg* mean of bands
Reasonable size sale today with 532 on offer. Trade was steady for bullocks up to 500kgs, with anything over this weight marginally improved on last week. Good entry of forward cattle today. In the cull cow ring heavier cows were back 5-10c/kg but store cows were a similar trade to last week. Some very good quality cows available today too. A dozen aged bulls today averaged €3.57, as a Charolais bull weighing 650kgs made €3,700 and a Friesian bull weighing 690kgs made €2,360. In the heifer ring, stock over 500kgs were a shade dearer but under this weight was a similar trade to last week.
