YOUNG FRIESIAN BULL CALVES HIT €430. 750 cattle and calves were sold at Kilmallock on Monday last. A strong trade for cattle and calves very dear was the story of the day. Light store bullocks sold for up to €2,100 each or €5.45 per kg. Heavier bullocks made up to €2,850 each or €4.52 per kg. Dry cows hit €2,280 a head or €3.10 per kg. Light heifers made up to €1,870 each or €4.61 per kg. Heavy heifers made up to €2,490 each or €4.35 per kg. Dairy stock sold for up to €2,240 each. In calf suckler cows made up to €2,980 each. Good beef breed calves made up to €850 each.
