€3100 PLUS PAID FOR BEEF AT KILMALLOCK MART. The All Ireland Hurling celbrations saw just 400 stock on offer at Kilmallock on Monday last. The poor grass growth of recent weeks saw the store trade a little easier. Beef cattle near slaughter were a flying trade. Bullocks less than 550kgs made up to €2030 each or €4.50 per kg. Heavy bullocks hit €3110 each or €4.13 per kg. Dry cows sold for up to €3130 a head or €3.37 per kg. Heifers made up to €1780 each or €4.18 per kg. Heaver heifers sold for up to €2540 each or €4.02 per kg. Heavy bulls made up to €2900 each or €3.04 per kg.
