Good size sale in Kilrush today, with almost 400 on offer. There were 155 calves on offer and these met a great trade. FR bull calves made from €180 to €450, with quite a number of these on offer. HEX bulls made from €270 to €560 and HEX heifers made to €510. AAX bulls made to €550 and AAX heifers made to €530. LMX calves made to €620. A strong entry of cull cows and these were mostly dairy types and were a shade dearer, up 10c/kg on the week. Mostly young stock in the heifer ring. More of a mix in the bullock ring. Stock holding a great trade despite factory quotes being pulled.
